I've tried a number of different LED GU10s but have never been particularly pleased with either the light output of colour. However I've been using these now for some months to replace 4 x 50w halogens over an L shaded kitchen work surface. Not only do they have a similar light output but also have a wider beam angle which has eliminated an annoying dark spot we had on the corner of the L. I'm mega pleased to be only burning 20w compared to the previous 200w but the winner was that my wife didn't even notice I'd changed them. That shows how similar they are to 50w halogens. There has been some comment about the life expectancy of early versions of LEDs but only time will tell.I shall be getting more to replace other halogens.
